So I managed to scrape together enough money to buy a Fujifilm Finepix S3200. Its a big step up from my ancient Kodak Z740 and it has full manual control as well as point and click functionality. Time to get back into some photography and learn more about ISO's and Shutter Speeds and Apertures and whosamahjiggers and wing wongs and you get the idea hehe

Its about time for an update so here it is.

So, I am from Bundaberg and i hear via a friend that some kickin' bands are playing a gig in Brisbane. The Basement at Acacia ridge to be a bit more specific. Well thats about 5 hours away but what the hell, me and a couple of mates will come down and crash on some other friends couch / floor / wherever the hell we have room.

Now the 3 of us show up at the venue and pay the $12 cover charge to get in and start spending $$ at the bar. At this point eveything's apples. Time drags on and we get told that the gig may not go ahead due to lack of people. But alas the gig goes ahead. The first 3 bands (namely DEFAMER, CANDYPAIN and OUR LAST ENEMY) get to go up and kick some ass. But much to the annoyance of many people, HEADKASE were told they had been cut from the list and would not be playing and despite all endeavors to change the venue operators mind, this decision was final. Now there wasn't a great deal of people at the venue at any time of the nite but they started the gig with the same amount of people that were there at the end so why cut the last band??? Makes no kinda sense to me.

Anyways despite the dissapointing end to the nite i had a great time and got to meet some of the band members from the different bands and purchased some kool merchandise to bring back and spread the work around bundaberg. I am really looking forward to seeing these bands again soon even if it means roadtripping.
